Celebrating the Skies
Painting Demonstration
Phil Bob Borman
Phil Bob Borman’s paintings feature exquisite cloud formations and expansive skies over landscapes that support the beauty above. Phil Bob says of his work, “Painting clouds is a passion, a passion to illustrate the glory of God’s creation in each and every sky." Borman’s skies, specifically clouds, are painted with attention to light, formation and the atmosphere’s influences creating the moment-by-moment movement. Thursday, May 8
Landscapes and still life scenes are Virginia’s primary subjects. She paints in her studio from photos that capture her attention, whether it is the glow of the sky, a reflection in water, or a silhouette of trees against a skyline. Virginia’s style of painting is tonalism, with an overall mood of atmosphere or quietness. The warm hues, muted colors, and soft contours of her paintings evoke a peaceful, contemplative mood.
